ABOUT THE STUDIO
ORTO BOTANICO is a creative studio specializing in set and floral design, embracing bold, unexpected compositions with no limits. Founded by Amanda Petrella, inspired by the dialogue between man and nature, its name reflects a space where wildness reclaims its place. Based in Belgium since 2020 and working worldwide, the studio crafts tailor-made projects across diverse disciplines.
Art direction
Every project begins as a blank canvas, shaped by a deep understanding of color, texture, and spatial harmony. Drawing from a background in cinematic set design, we create immersive worlds where each detail carries meaning, evoking emotion and storytelling through form.
Fashion shoot
Each frame is carefully composed to enhance textures and silhouettes, capturing fashion as a living, breathing expression of style. Whether minimal and raw or grand and theatrical, our approach transforms clothing into powerful imagery, where every detail resonates with intent.
Floral design
Flowers are more than decoration—they are part of the scene, shaping space and atmosphere. We sculpt organic compositions that fuse wild elegance with structured beauty, inspired by the richness of baroque arrangements and the softness of natural movement. Stems, textures, and colors come together like a painter’s brushstrokes, creating floral scenographies that feel both timeless and unexpected.
Premium events
We design immersive atmospheres that transform venues into curated settings, each element working in harmony to evoke emotion. Whether an intimate dinner or a grand production, our approach is guided by a cinematic sensibility—every detail intentional, every composition telling a story.
Set design
Inspired by our roots in cinema, we merge sculptural elements with bold storytelling, creating environments that feel both tactile and theatrical. Whether for photography, film, or live experiences, each set is designed with a keen sense of contrast, texture, and depth, shaping a world that captivates and intrigues.
Window displays
We compose displays that play with depth, color, and perspective, turning storefronts into staged moments of storytelling. Everyday objects are reimagined, textiles and textures interact, and lighting transforms the ordinary into something extraordinary. Each composition is designed to draw the eye, spark curiosity, and linger in memory.

ABOUT
Amanda Petrella
FOUNDER & ART DIRECTOR
After a first part of her career as a set designer in the cinema, Amanda Petrella founded ORTO BOTANICO, a scenographic creation studio dedicated to communication agencies, actors in the event sector, photographers, but also stylists and shopkeepers. Inspired by her Italian roots, her travels and her love for flowers, the Belgian set designer imagines and creates tailor-made settings, both flamboyant and glamorous, where the baroque stems she assembles with boldness and attention to detail rub shoulders with sublimated everyday objects or fabrics in vibrant colors and textures.
